OUR STUDENTS

Golden Paw Award

During the final weeks of Term 3, all the children from Kindergarten to Year 6 learned about Australia's threatened animals. As part of this unit they chose a threatened species to draw. The drawings were then entered in the Dymock’s Golden Paw Award 2008. For every drawing that was entered in the competition, Dymock’s donated $1 to the Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife to help the endangered Little Penguins.

We were excited to find that 7 children from our school won special recognition when their wonderful drawings depicting Australian endangered animals were selected to be hung in the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney during the school holidays. Congratulations to Joel, Neo, Alex, Hunter, Marco, Arohaina and Maaika whose paintings were chosen out of 4,294 paintings. Well done, children! They looked great!
