Digital Animation Workshop

Each year all the children in Years 3 to 6 take part in an exciting full day digital animation workshop held at the school. This involves the children writing a narrative, creating clay characters and designing and building small sets and painting some scenes as backdrops. They take many still frames of their clay figures in different poses. They put the frames together producing a wonderful animated movie with titles, music and sound effects. It is a wonderful experience and each child ends up with a DVD of his/her animated movie.

This program allows students to develop their writing skills, explore the Science & Technology syllabus strand "Information & Communications" and utilise aspects from the Creative Arts syllabus.
